History and About Us
In 1999, a shoebox at Carol Postley's Fairmeadow Farm in Ocala, held the names and addresses of Florida sheep producers. This small group of producers saw the need for networking and sharing information on what works, and what doesn't work when raising sheep in Florida.
Soon after that, Sherry Lee of Linden Hollow Sheep Farm in St. Cloud, started an MSA Yahoo! Group, providing a communication system between producers. The goal has been education from the start, and we continue with that tradition today.
We are a group of happy shepherds, some with experience of over 30 years, lending a helping hand, offering encouragement and support to other sheep producers. Join the MSA community and learn about sheep production from the experts.
